Popular even among German custom builders, this next-generation LED headlight features a compact φ170mm diameter and an ultra-slim 85.7mm depth. It’s perfect for giving super nakeds (originally equipped with irregular-shaped headlights) a tough, old-school street fighter look, and it complies with Japanese vehicle inspection standards.

This shows the position light illuminated. By placing a horizontal position lamp right in the center, it creates a futuristic appearance.

This is the low beam illuminated. Note: Many people intuitively assume the lower part lights up for low beam, but in this design the upper part illuminates. Please be careful with wiring and installation.

This shows the high beam illuminated. Both low beam (upper) and high beam (lower) now light up simultaneously. (Note: Previously only one side lit up, but this was updated to simultaneous illumination with the 2024 minor change.)

This is the low beam projected onto a wall. It widely illuminates the area below the horizontal cutoff line.

Unlike conventional pressed-steel headlights, this unit is made of high-quality aluminum die-cast with an integrated heat sink on the back for excellent cooling performance.

The High-Spec version features real aluminum die-cast cooling fins for genuine heat dissipation, whereas the Low-Spec is just a plastic imitation of the design with no meaningful cooling effect. Therefore, we recommend the φ170 LED Headlight [High-Spec] to those who prioritize performance over low price.

Weight: approximately 958 grams.

It uses an H4 bulb connector, making installation straightforward on headlights originally designed for H4 bulbs. ※Please note that you will need to handle the wiring for the black and white position light wires yourself.

This is with the parking light on.

Because it uses LED instead of a conventional bulb, it can be installed even on 2019- Z400/Z250 models that came factory-equipped with LED headlights.

Air scoops are located at the top and bottom of the headlight to direct cooling airflow to the rear heat sink.

When you’re just trying to save power on an original bulb-type headlight by swapping only the bulb for an LED one, the lens/reflector is cut specifically for a halogen bulb —so the light from an LED bulb often doesn’t diffuse or spread properly. But when you replace the entire headlight unit with a dedicated LED design like this one, those issues disappear completely. Plus, the large heat sink at the back greatly reduces the chance of overheating, and above all, the overall look becomes much more stylish and modern.

With no bulb to burn out, this LED headlight is completely reliable even with a rigid-mounted light stay.

This is the before-and-after comparison on the R nineT.

This is an example of installation on GROM.

↑ Installation example with a 105mm light stay (front fork face to headlight mount hole). That 105mm gap + the thin headlight = lots of empty space at the back, resulting in an awkward, half-assed look. Want a modern, forks-close form? Always pair it with our dedicated Wunderkind bracket: 75mm (Long) or 55mm (Short). High-quality brackets + this light = the cool custom we recommend.

Snapping the included cap onto the headlight mounting bolt head creates a sleek, stylish look.

To remove the included cap, we recommend using the blade of a utility knife.

When tightening the inward-facing fork clamp screws with the headlight already installed, we recommend using the “Pierce Ball Wrench (5mm × 6mm)” shown above.

Here's the Z400 fighter we built at BugBro.com, rocking the φ170 LED Headlight—standing behind it is yours truly, BugBro.com's Yamaguchi. I designed this one myself and I'm the guy selling it.
